Why we ship in weeks, not months

Longer timelines don't mean higher quality — they usually mean unclear scope. Here's how we keep projects tight without cutting corners.

There's a common assumption in the agency world: longer timeline = more thoughtful work = higher quality. The reality is close to the opposite.

Long projects accrue problems that short projects avoid. Scope drifts. Priorities shift mid-build. Mockups get re-approved three times. By month four, the original brief is stale and nobody wants to finish the thing.

How we keep projects to 2–4 weeks

1. We pre-decide 80% of the decisions

Our templates come with opinions: a type system, a component library, a color architecture, database schema, auth flow. We're not redesigning those every time. The work is customizing the specific parts that make each client distinctive.

Compare that to a custom build where every project starts from scratch. You're making thousands of small decisions. That's where time disappears.

2. One feedback cycle per phase, not three

Week 1: design direction locked after one review.

Week 2: all content + integrations.

Week 3: review + refinement.

Week 4: launch.

Three rounds of "can we see another version of the homepage hero?" is how 4-week projects become 4-month projects. We cap revisions up front (2 for Launch, 4 for Growth). Clients get what they need. We don't spiral.

3. Working software from week 1

We don't ship static mockups. By the end of week 1 you have a real, working site on a staging URL. You can click it, type into forms, read real content. That's way harder to give feedback on in the abstract — "I'd like the nav bigger" — and way easier to give specific feedback on — "this button should say Book a table, not Reserve."

4. We choose tools that don't fight us

Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Resend. Each of these exists precisely because someone got tired of a slower tool. Using mature, batteries-included tools means we spend time on your business logic, not on yak-shaving the infrastructure.

What this means for you

A 2-week timeline isn't a cheap hack. It's a forcing function that keeps scope sharp, feedback specific, and decisions actually final. You launch sooner. You iterate from real traffic. Your business doesn't wait 6 months for a site it needed last quarter.

If an agency is quoting you 12+ weeks for a standard marketing site, ask them where the time is going. Most of the time, the honest answer is "we haven't figured out how to move faster."
